Los voluntarios que desean formar parte del programa de voluntariado de niños de la calle en la India deben ser lo suficientemente comprensivos y comprensivos como para comprender que estos niños carecen de amor y cuidado, y deben dotarlos de lo que más necesitan. El programa Street Children consiste en tomar clases de educación informal con los niños, jugar juegos con los niños e introducirlos en el aprendizaje basado en actividades. Los voluntarios trabajan de 5 a 6 horas por día durante 5 días a la semana.
La necesidad de la improvisación yla creatividad en los métodos de enseñanza es primordial y puede desafiar también a los más experimentados, pero las recompensas son sorprendentes.
Nuestros voluntarios pueden traer plumas, lápices, libros y otro material de enseñanza que los ayudará mientras enseñan.
Lo que los voluntarios deben hacer:
Enfatizar en el aprendizaje basado en actividades.
Jugar juegos recreativos y divertidos con los niños, mientras les presenta nuevas lecciones.
Haga que tomen conciencia y se apropien de buenos hábitos en los niños, como limpieza, higiene y saludos.
Puede planear un viaje con los niños a un museo o zoológico en Delhi. Tales viajes educativos son muy útiles para los niños, donde les encanta pasar tiempo y jugar con los voluntarios.
Los participantes deben proporcionar amor, cuidado, alfabetización básica, recreación y, lo más importante, pasar tiempo y afecto sobre ellos.
Vivo
Traslado al aeropuerto
A su llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional Indira Gandhi, los voluntarios serán recibidos por un miembro del equipo de coordinación local en Delhi. Los servicios de recogida programados están disponibles entre las 8:00 a. m. y las 8:00 p. m. el día de inicio del programa. Los participantes que ya se encuentren en el país o que lleguen antes también pueden ser recogidos en un punto de encuentro predeterminado. Si llega fuera del horario de recogida programado, podemos organizar la recogida por un cargo adicional.
Alojamiento
Los participantes en Delhi se alojan en un albergue convenientemente ubicado en el sur de Delhi. El albergue, ubicado a solo cinco minutos a pie de una estación de metro en el sur de Delhi, ofrece fácil acceso a lugares emblemáticos como el Templo del Loto y el mercado Khan.
El albergue cuenta con amplios dormitorios y habitaciones privadas que son perfectas para una estancia acogedora. Ya sea que esté descansando en nuestra acogedora área común o disfrutando de una abundante comida en nuestra cafetería del hotel, cada aspecto de su estadía está diseñado para su comodidad y conveniencia. Además, el albergue cuenta con un área al aire libre abierta, que es ideal para conectarse con otros viajeros.
Todas las habitaciones del albergue disponen de aire acondicionado. Aunque se proporciona ropa de cama, debes traer tus propias toallas y artículos de tocador.
Se pueden realizar mejoras a habitaciones privadas individuales o dobles por un coste adicional.
Orientación
El día siguiente a su llegada, nuestro personal le ofrecerá una sesión de orientación integral de medio día. La orientación abarca temas esenciales como cultura, saludos, lugares, transporte y otros detalles detallados en su itinerario de viaje.
Comidas
La cocina india, famosa en todo el mundo por sus sabores variados, ocupa un lugar central durante tu experiencia de voluntariado. En el albergue se ofrecerán comidas vegetarianas indias.
Actividades de tiempo libre
Durante su tiempo libre, se anima a los voluntarios a explorar los mercados locales, los monumentos históricos y a cenar en diferentes restaurantes de Delhi para saborear la rica variedad de la cocina india. Delhi tiene mucho que ofrecer y hay muchas cosas que hacer y ver en la bulliciosa capital.
Itinerario
Cualquier persona que se una al Programa Street Children en Delhi con Volunteering India debe seguir una rutina básica a diario.
Un cronograma diario genérico para voluntarios es el siguiente:
Domingo: Llegada a Delhi
Lunes: Orientación y un recorrido por el vecindario. La sesión de orientación será conducida por el coordinador local, cubriendo áreas importantes tales como seguridad, cultura, idioma, lugares para visitar, comportamiento, comida y otras sugerencias sobre cosas que hacer en Delhi. Aquellos que elijan la Semana de Lenguaje y Orientación continuarán con lo mismo para el resto, el resto de los voluntarios comenzarán su trabajo voluntario a partir del martes.
Martes a viernes: voluntario en el sitio de colocación.
Desayuno - 08:30 a.m. en adelante.
Horario de trabajo en la ubicación - 10:00 a.m. (salga del alojamiento a las 09:30 a.m.) a las 4:00 p.m.
Almuerzo - Entre las 12:30 p.m. y las 2:30 p.m. (organice el almuerzo por su propia cuenta).
Cena - a las 6:00 p.m. en adelante.
El mismo horario de trabajo voluntario continuará a partir de la segunda semana en adelante.
Fines de semana: Libre para explorar la ciudad (No se ofrece comida el domingo, ya que se alienta a los voluntarios a probar las cocinas locales).

The host family was very nice. Meals were great. The family was very kind to me and were generous enough to let myself and other volunteers participate in their family Diwali celebration.
Will never forget it. Staff was very helpful. Did much cleaning and washing, painting etc.Took kids to zoo.Hope to keep contact. The host family was nice and friendly.
I really enjoyed my placement, mainly due to the other teachers making me feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Meals were nice and delicious.
